Begin your journey in Beijing, China's historic capital, where centuries of imperial heritage meet contemporary city life. Discover magnificent landmarks and experience the atmosphere of a city that has played a central role in Chinese history for generations.

Travel by high-speed train to Xi'an, once the eastern starting point of the ancient Silk Road and home to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors. Conitnue east to Luoyang, another of China's great ancient capitels, before visiting the renowned Shaolin Monastery, celebrated for its long association with Chan Buddhism and Chinese martial arts. The journey then takes you through Zhengzhou, an important city in the heart of Henan Province.

A striking change of scenery awaits in Zhangjiajie, known for its extraordinary sandstone pillars, forested peaks and dramatic mountain landscapes. Explore this remarkable region before continuing to Fenghuang Ancient Town, a picturesque historic town characterised by traditional architecture and its scenic reverside setting.

Your journey continues to Hangzhou, one of China's most celebrated historic cities. Enjoy the tranquil scenary surrounding West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its harmonious combination of natural beauty, historic sites and traditional Chinese landscape design.

Finally, arrive in Shanghai, where historic neighbourhoods and traditional culture stand alongside one of Asia's most distinctive modern skylines. Experience the fascinating contrast between the city's past and present before bringing your journey through China to a close.

* Visa requirements: Visa-free entry to China is currently available until 31 December 2026, subject to the applicable entry requirements. If the visa-free policy is not extended from 1 Janurary 2027, we can assist eligible travellers with a group visa. The fee is EUR 150 per person.

* Payment: A 25% deposit is due within 7 days of booking. The remaining balance is due 28 days before departure.

* Minimum group size: 2 participants per departure date. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the tour may be cancelled. In this case, travellers will be notified no later than 21 days before departure and no cancellation fee will apply.
