Begin in Beijing, where centuries of imperial history come to life at the magnificent Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall. Explore traditional neighborhoods, experience the rhythm of local life and see some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks.

Continue to Henan Province, the heartland of Chinese civilization, to visit the legendary Shaolin Monastery, renowned as the birthplace of Shaolin martial arts and closely associated with Chan Buddhism. The journey also takes you to the impressive Longmen Grottoes, home to thousands of Buddhist statues and carvings and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In Xi’an, step back into the age of China’s first emperor as you encounter the extraordinary Terracotta Army, one of the world’s greatest archaeological discoveries. A walk through the city’s lively Muslim Quarter offers another perspective on Xi’an’s rich multicultural heritage.

Travel onward to Chengdu, where you will meet one of China’s most beloved national symbols at the Giant Panda Research Base, before continuing to Chongqing, a spectacular mountain metropolis known for its dramatic skyline and unique urban landscape.

One of the defining experiences of the tour is a three-night Yangtze River cruise in a balcony cabin. * Please provide us with your arrival and departure flight details before the start of the tour.

* Payment: A 30% deposit is due within 7 days of booking. The remaining balance is due 28 days before departure.

* Minimum group size: 2 participants per departure date. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the tour may be cancelled. In this case, travellers will be notified no later than 21 days before departure and no cancellation fee will apply.
